Little information seems to be available for this moth, which has three distinctive patches on the edge of its forewing and weak lines across the forewing originating from these patches. It was identified with the help of a BugGuide expert volunteer. The larva is an inchworm.

The abundance in our two nature centers is still unknown – only one specimen has been photographed in Fontenelle Forest so far.
