This stink bug, about 1/2 inch long, is one of 11 species of this genus known to exist in North America. It was identified tentatively by a volunteer expert at BugGuide. A definitive identification to species requires examination under a microscope by an insect expert.

The abundance of this stink bug in our two nature centers is yet unknown. This specimen was photographed at the Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in mid-October.
