The Bent-line Dart has a wingspan of 1 3/8 to 1 7/8 inches. The forewing is light brown with dark brown markings. There is a large dark brown patch between the antemedial and the postmedial lines. The postmedial line is bent next to the costa. The hindwing is pale yellow with a dark median line. The legs are dark chocolate brown.

 

The frequency of occurrence is not known. The individual shown here was photographed at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in late September 2013. The adults fly from September to November

 

The larvae eat the leaves of low plants including clover, dandelion and tobacco.
