The Bog Lygropia has a wingspan of about .75 inch (17 mm). The forewing is pale yellow or cream-colored with an intricate pattern of brown lines and outlines of spots. The broad white subterminal line becomes wider near the costa. The hindwing is colored and patterned the same as the forewing.

 

The frequency of occurrence of this moth at Fontenelle Forest and Neale Woods is not known. It has been photographed at Camp Brewster, Fontenelle Forest in early June 2016. It inhabits wet or boggy areas. Adults are most common from June to August.

 

The host food plant is not known.
