A small iridescent black beetle about 1/6 of an inch long. It was identified to genus by experts at Bugguide.net.
Its occurrence at Fontenelle Forest is not known. This one was photographed at Camp Brewster in early June.
Leaf beetles have a resemblance to the long horned beetles but the antenna are less than half the bodies length.
