The Broad-banded Eulogia moth has a wingspan of about 3/4 inch. The reddish forewing is marked with a broad, yellow-edged blackish median band. All lines are slightly wavy. The hindwing is a plain light tan color.
The frequency of occurrence in this area is not known. One individual was photographed in early June 2017 at Fontenelle Forest. It ranges from Canada in the north to Florida and Texas in the south. Most sightings of adults are from June to September.
The larvae eat the leaves of apple, oak and pecan trees.
