The Common Glaphyria has a wingspan of .75 inch. The forewing is pale yellow to gold in the subterminal area with white wavy lines crossing the wing. There is white shading along the costa and at the apex. The hindwing is light gray with a diffuse yellow or brown patch. The legs are white with gold banding.

 

The frequency of occurrence is not known. It was photographed once at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in late July 2014.

 

The host plants are unknown. There are 6 species of Glaphyria in North America.
