This large, strikingly beautiful, blue/purple flower, native to tropical America, is easy to identify. It is a herbaceous vine with heart-shaped leaves.

This morning-glory grows on fallow or waste ground. One plant was found in 2012 on the planted prairie on the floodplain of Fontenelle Forest, the year after the big flood. It shared this habitat with many types of weeds, climbing up anything it could.
