This solitary tree, about 15 feet tall, was probably planted long ago along South Stream Trail. Its large pink flowers may be seen in April (A). The green apples, about an inch in diameter, dangle in bunches from 2 inch long stalks (D).

Located on the east side of Stream Trail not far north of the intersection with Pond Trail.

There are numerous ornamental varieties of crabapple. The casual observer will only notice this tree when it is in bloom. Later in the season it is usually draped by vines.
