Crayfish are known to be present in Fontenelle Forest and Neale Woods ponds. But they are seldom seen, unless caught and released. This specimen, which BugGuide helped to identify to genus, was found in the teaching pond in the wetlands.

The abundance of Crayfish in the ponds of Fontenelle Forest and Neale Woods is not yet known, but they are assumed to be common.
