This small disk-shaped snail is less than 1/2 inch in diameter. It has ridges and a pattern of red marks on its shell, as well as a large umbilicus – back and side views are not yet available. These snails are native to Europe, but they were introduced in various parts of North America as well.
The abundance of this species is not yet known. This is the first living specimen found and photographed in Fontenelle Forest (as of 2010).
