WEEVIL FAMILY (Curculionidae)
A dark brown weevil with light spots on the elytra, head and legs. It is about 1/4th of an inch long. It was identified with the help of experts at Bugguide.net
This beetle is often found on willows and cottonwoods. We would expect this weevil to be fairly common at Fontenelle Forest. This one was photo graphed on walking club trail.
