A brown beetle with a yellow stripe down its elytra. Its body is elongate and soft. Its body is widest at front and narrower than its elytra at the base. It is about 6-11 mm long ¼ -1/2 inch).

 

Larvae live in rotting wood. Its occurrence in Fontenelle Forest is not known.

 

False blister beetles resemble blister beetles but lack a neck (see red necked false blister beetle). They often come to lights.
