FLATID PLANTHOPPER

FLATID PLANTHOPPER

Ormenoides venusta
FLATID PLANTHOPPERS (Flatidae)

This planthopper is almost pure white, with a faint orange border on its folded wings. It is less then 1/2 inch long. Little information is currently available on this species; it will be added when available.

Common on thistle and Wingstem on the floodplain in Fontenelle Forest, often seen lined up in groups. The pure white coloration makes the easier to spot than its other hopper relatives.
