This Herpetogramma sp. has light tan-colored forewings and hindwings with brown markings. The postmedial and subterminal lines are scalloped and sharply pointed. The wings are semi-translucent and many have a violet sheen.

 

The frequency of occurrence of this species is not known. It has been photographed at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center coming to artificial lights in late July 2014 and late August 2014.
