This ichneumon wasp is 1 inch in length. The thorax and abdomen are reddish-brown. The eyes are black bordered by a brown head. The front legs are yellow. The middle and hind legs are reddish-brown. The wings are a smoky brown. The antennae are light brown.
The wasp is known from one sighting when it was photographed in early May in Neale Woods.
The nesting habits and prey of this Ichneumon wasp are not known.
