This Clubtail is 2 inches or 50 mm long. The face and thorax is a pale unmarked jade green. The abdomen is green with black markings becoming reddish-brown toward the end. Segment 10 and the male claspers are yellow. The eyes are pale green. The club is only slightly enlarged in both sexes.

This species is fairly common at the Great Marsh in Fontenelle Forest in early summer. It can be seen sitting on emergent vegetation around the viewing blind.

This is one of the few species of Clubtails that are found in ponds and small lakes.
