Agrilus obsoletoguttatus
METALLIC WOOD BORING BEETLES (Buprestidae)

This beetle is 4.7-8.0 mm long (1/4 to 1/3 inch ). It is elongate, slender, somewhat flat. Its elytra are shiny brass, coppery and bronze. Each elytra has 3 or 4 whitish, yellowish pubescent spots. The legs are greenish and the head is bronzy to golden green.

 

This beetle is widespread in Eastern North America. Its occurrence in Fontenelle Forest is not known. Adults are active in spring and early summer.
