This is a yellowish brown beetle with black stripes on its elytra. It is about 5 mm long (1/5th of an inch). It was identified to genus by experts at bugguide.net.
It was photographed in the Nature center parking lot. Its overall occurrence at Fontenelle Forest is not known.
Likely to be O. Communa the ragweed leaf beetle but we cannot be sure since many of the beetles in this genus look alike. Identified as O. Conferta on August, 2017.
