MOTTLED GRASS VENEER MOTH

Neodactria luteolellus
CRAMBID SNOUT MOTH FAMILY (Crambidae)

This member of the Crambid Snout Moth family was photographed on the Fontenelle Forest floodplain on a lighted sheet at night, and identified by David Reed. It has a wing-span of less than an inch.

 

The abundance of this moth in our two nature centers is not yet known. This species is active in June and July.
