Northern corn rootworm beetles are about a quarter of an inch long, and have no distinct markings. Newly emerged northern corn rootworms are cream colored or tan, but they become green as they age as this one is.
Larvae are pests in the roots of corn and related cereal crops. Its occurrence in Fontenelle Forest is unknown. This one was photographed in the wetlands garden.
