The Pale-winged Crocidophora has a wingspan of approximately .75 inch. It is yellowish in color on both the forewing and hindwing. The brown to orange wavy AM line and PM line and a wider terminal band go across both wings. The body is also yellow. The primary way to distinguish it from the very similar Hahncappsia mancalis is that the subterminal band along the forewing is curved and parallels the curved distal edge of the forewing. In Hahnscappsia the subterminal band is straight. This moth was identified by volunteer experts at the BugGuide website.

This moth is considered to be common in Fontenelle Forest and Neale Woods. The individual in photo A came to mothing lights in Fontenelle Forest in mid-June in 2018. The moth was first photographed in Fontenelle Forest in early August 2010. The adults are attracted to lights.

The larval food plants are not known.
