This bug has the broadened tibia which resembles a leaf and which gives it and its relatives their common name. It is about 3/4th of an inch in length. The specimen in these images was identified as a male with the help of the volunteer experts at BugGuide.

 

This bug occurs from AZ to MN to NY to FL. This specimen was found on Wingstem on Cottowood Trail in Fontenelle Forest.
