The Raspberry Pyrausta moth has a wingspan of .75 to 1 inch. The forewing is bright rose-pink and is crossed by toothed pale yellow AM and PM lines. The fringe is pale yellow. The hindwing is yellowish shaded with brown. The larva is pink with white stripes and a white head.

The frequency of occurrence is not known. An individual was photographed coming to artificial lights at Neale Woods in early July 2013.

The larva eats the flowers and probably the leaves of Monarda (bee balm).
