Little is known about this colorful, very small bug. It is apparently often found on a variety of plants called knotweeds, where it feeds on small insects such as leafhoppers and planthoppers. Some species of this bug family have been used to control other bugs.
The abundance of this bug in our two nature centers is unknown. This colorful specimen was photographed in Fontenelle Forest along with moths and other insects, as they were attracted to a lighted white sheet after sundown.
