This varietal species was planted along the edge of the plaza behind the Fontenelle Forest Visitors Center. It is included here because it is one of the first plants encountered when exiying the building. According to Flora of Nebraska (2006) this cultivated snowberry species is of the variety S.A.vigatus. The flowers are white to pink (A). The leaves are up to 2 inches ling, some with a few rounded teeth (B,C). The fruit is a white “snowball” up to 1/2 inch in diameter (D).

There is a long hedge of this shrub along the edge of the plaza behind the Fontenelle Forest Visitors Center where it was planted.
