The Snowy Urola has a wingspan of about .75 inch. The forewing is white with a “satin” sheen. There is a small dark mark at midpoint of the inner margin of the forewing. Black dashes make up the terminal line. The fringe is pale brown. The hindwing is translucent white. The eyes are blue. At rest the antennae are usually folded over the back. The front legs are brown and the other legs are white.

The frequency of occurrence at Fontenelle Forest and Neale Woods is not known. It was photographed at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in early September 2013. The adults are attracted to artificial lights. They are believed to be more common southward in their range.

The larvae feed on grasses. Adults fly from May to September.
