WHITE-ROPED GLAPHYRIA MOTH

Glaphyria sequistrialis
CRAMBID SNOUT MOTH FAMILY (Crambidae)

This small micro-moth has a wingspan of about 1/2 an inch. It has a yellowish color above, with two wavy white lines, bordered with dark gray, on its forewings. Identified with the help of David Reed, who also photographed this specimen on the Fontenelle Forest floodplain.

 

The abundance of this moth is yet unknown. It was photographed at night.
