This small jumping spider is from 2.5 to 5 mm long. It mimics an ant. These jumping spiders are difficult to identify to species. The volunteers at BugGuide helped to identify this individual to genus, which was named in honor of George and Elizabeth Peckham, two arachnologists. They identified this type of jumping spider in 1909.

The abundance of this spider in Fontenelle Forest or Neal Woods is yet unknown. This individual was photographed in Fontenelle Forest the middle of May 2013..
