Snails & Clams

We have so far found and photographed a small number of different land snails, slugs and several aquatic snails in Fontenelle Forest. Unfortunately only a few of these can be identified with confidence. We have also added images of some typical snail and clam shells, which are found on the ground, especialy during winter and spring. The literature on snails and clams in Nebraska is sparse. We could use some expert advice here and someone doing a more formal survey of the snails present in both our Nature Centers.
